Dragon Races at South Bank

What a fabulous morning I had with friends at South Bank.  The International QUT Dragon Races were on, and it gave us much excitement as well as a unique sketching opportunity.

The dragon boat in the foreground is the Singapore team, and they came first in the first heat, but I didn't find out what happened after that.

Rain - Rain - Rain

...and more rain.  Brisbane has had a whole years rain in one month. :-0  I haven't been out to sketch this month, been too busy mopping up my studio..  I get one problem fixed, and a new one appears.  I will win this battle though for sure.

Today, I sat out under the carport, and sketched my driveway garden.  It is my drought tolerant garden.  Everything is growing like crazy right now, with all the rain and the humidity.  It looks awesome!
